Often it is necessary to stage units to achieve desired flows. Staging
units involves taking the discharge of one set of units and piping that
into a second set of units as their suction pressure. However, if you do
this, then what will be the interstage piping pressure? What flows can you
generate? What unit safety limits might be experienced?
eRCM Unit Staging software supports up to ten (10) distinct compressor
models for cross-comparison. These models are created by ACI's eRCM™
software and/or eAjax™ software.
Set up stations with up to five (5) inlet pipes and up to five (5)
outlet pipes. Then, specify the gas flow. I.E. From Inlet-A, to Units #1
and #2, then #1 goes to Outlet-A while Unit #2 goes to Outlet-B. Include
staging of units: I.E. From Inlet-C to Units #4/5/6, then to units #8/9
then Unit #8 outputs to Outlet-C while Unit #9 outputs to Outlet-D.
